Noah said his first prayer tonight. I don't want to forget the contents! An hour after he had been put to bed, he was still rustling around, so I went in to check on him. I picked him up and he said, "Mama...take Cheesus" (talk to Jesus). I said, "Oh ok, let's talk to Jesus." Before I could even start, he started in: "Take you Cheesus Da-ee, eat, hot dogs, mama" That was all. Thank you Jesus for Daddy, eat, hot dogs, mama." The order of priority :)
So now, my prayer: Thank you Jesus for my precious little one, and that he knows he can talk to you any time, and that he can thank you for any and all things. We love you so very much, Jesus.

Talking to Jesus

Be Still My Heart...
Oh I could just cry for the days that used to be....when Noah wanted me and only me to rock him to sleep...when I could lay him gently in his crib and be SURE that he would be there in almost the exact same spot in the morning, when big boy undies weren't anywhere in the future (know it sounds crazy).
Lots of things are happening in this household that I'm not quite ready for yet. First, the rocking at night. Although I think it's precious, and it warms my heart to see Noah cry and beg for daddy at night, I STILL WANT TO ROCK HIM TO SLEEP. I snuggle him, give him one million kisses, look at his face from 2 inches away, sing to him, tickle his back and his face, tell him I love him one million times, feel his little toes, smell his little baby boy breath...I do it all! I LOVE it. It is our time. It is my favorite time of the day. We talk to Jesus together and I enjoy hearing him say Jesus (sounds more like "Cheesis", but I know Jesus loves it, too--and I love THAT!). It is so precious to me, and I feel like it's slipping away. On the other hand, Christian BEAMS with pride. I could just cry describing it. He gets so proud when he just casually comes in to kiss Noah goodnight, and when he walks out, Noah immediately begins to cry. Hard. So of course, C comes right back in and takes him away. It really iiiisss precious for me to see, but it's hard to give my little man up.
Then, to make it worse, he fell out of his crib for the first time the other morning. That marked the end of the crib days. They are gone. We converted it into a toddler bed, and, this is how I found him the first morning (note--we have our monitor up SO LOUD. We can hear him breathing. We did not hear a PEEP out of the child all night. How he managed to do this, I don't know. Evidence leads me to believe that he was actually playing with the nearby toy. In complete silence!)
Anyway, this is what I found...Before I crept downstairs to get the camera, I lay down right behind him and snuggled in as close as I could, and proceeded to give the one million kisses I had missed out on the night before).

Father's day
Wanted to post a few pics of Father's day, too. We took Grandpa (my dad) and Christian out to breakfast at Cousin's here in The Dalles and it was a good time. Auntie A (Andi, my sister), Uncle Chris and Max also came, as well as Grandma Beb..jpg)
The whole crew....jpg)
Noah wanted to ride the sheep. Max helped.

Thomas the Train
We had a good time with Thomas the Train a few weekends ago. Noah loved all the different activities--the petting zoo, coloring, and lots and lots of trains to play with! Although he enjoyed the train ride, I don't think it was his favorite activity. He could sit and play with cars or trains for hours and hours. The kid LOVES them. Sir Toppam Hat, however, not so much. He was downright scared of him. But that's ok. He was freakishly disproportioned and creepy. We didn't go near him. Oh well.
It was a great day--blazing hot, but great. Good to get out, just the three of us, and do something in the sunshine!.jpg)

Gala pics
Great times at the Homes for Our Troops gala! We have to say, though, we missed a lot of our friends who were in the same group as us (having their homes built at the same time we are), but we were able to meet a lot of really great people, including Matt and Tracy Keil. Matt is a quadriplegic and was injured in 2007. He was shot in the neck and has limited use of his left arm. They are a great couple and had a home built for them by HFOT that was completed in September 08. I regret not getting pics with them...they were neat. :)
Anyway, since we are camera shy when it comes to asking others to take our pics, we got the usual in-the-hotel-room-before-we-leave-head-shot-of-just-us pics. Oh well. Better than nothin. :)

Pics and videos...maybe

Ok....so is there some reason why it's so difficult for me to place the pictures in their proper places? I am having difficulties uploading pictures into my blog and then placing them accordingly. Any tips from anyone?? Much appreciated.
Moving on...we went to Eugene last weekend for Noah's cousin London's 3rd birthday. As you can see, it was lots of fun and Noah had a blast playing in the pool and sprinkler. That is, until poop gushed from every possible opening in his Little Swimmers and swim trunks. But that's another blog. I'll only say that yes, much of the child equipment was turning brown, which led us to start wondering...
Anyway, I was able to get lots of good pics and even some video, which I am going to attempt to post in a completely different blog, because posting it in this one could lead to disaster.
It was a fun weekend and we are headed back out this weekend for my Grams' 90th birthday extravaganza! We've ordered a stripper and everything! (Kidding)
That's all!

Travelin'
Hi ya'll! Well, it's been a busy week for me! Christian started his job this week, just 4 hours a day in the morning, but it's been a great thing. Our attitudes have been better, things are starting to flow better, and we've had more to talk about.
I went to Idaho last weekend for a friend's baby shower and had a great time! It was a little scary to get into the car with just me and Noah and know we had 5 1/2 long hours ahead of us, but he was such a good boy--thank you Jesus! I got to see all those who are dear to me, and their babes, and I got to talk a lot! I am always reminded of what great friends I have, and how they are few and far between!
This weekend we are traveling to Eugene for our neice, London's 3rd birthday. We are leaving Saturday morning. It should be a good time, and we are excited to get out of the house a little. We are actualy going to be gone for the next 3 weekends--something to look forward to!!
Umm...I wish I could post some cute pictures of my rapidly growing and changing almost-two-year old, but we've once again lost our camera. I'm happy to say that I've been taking video often, which makes me feel better.
Anyway, that's it for now. Lots of packing to do....
